THE COCONUT CAKE: I came with high hopes because I love that whipped cream and talc blend found in Ferragamo’s Signorina, but this just smells like whipped cream—a very soft coconut that clings to the skin. There’s no hint of talc or cotton flower, just that scent that reminds me of Katy Perry’s Mad Love but much quieter. It has no projection at all. I think I’ll use it as a base to mix with others, or maybe not even that, because it would get completely overwhelmed; it’s too subtle. If I had smelled it in-store, I wouldn’t have bought it.

THE COCONUT CAKE: I arrived with high hopes because I love whipped cream and talc blends, like in Ferragamo’s Signorina, and wanted something similar. But this just smells like whipped cream—a very soft coconut barely noticeable when touching the skin. There’s no trace of talc or cotton flower, just that creamy touch reminiscent of Katy Perry’s Mad Love but muffled. It has zero projection. I suppose I’d use it as a base to mix with others, or not even that, because it would be completely covered; it’s too subtle. If I had smelled it in-store, I wouldn’t have bought it.

I gave it a second chance and now I smell it differently. Yes, it has that coconut vibe like Tom Ford’s Soleil Blanc, but in the heat, I notice more clean talcum powder, like Petit et Mamans, over a soft Dove soap scent. It smells great for summer; I’m glad I have it.
