  This Arab house’s perfumes have infinite quality. Yes, the price is very high, but they last forever with a tiny amount and pay for themselves incredibly fast. The opening is an ambered, sweet honey, not cloying, with exquisite woody and floral nuances. The flowers are indescribable: you know there are flowers, but you don’t know which ones; they float like a crystal mantle of nectar over a honeyed, woody base—something dirty but with incredible beauty. Then the sweetness fades, as do the flowers, and the woods take center stage. Here, the oud shines in all its glory: nothing medicinal, yes, very dirty and animalic, a deep wood with a beautiful residual halo of flowers and honey. The dry down is an ambered sandalwood, warm and slightly sweet, very skin-close, with oud nuances. It’s a very masculine, woody scent, not for everyone, full of mystery and character. I loved it; it’s an Arab gem closely aligned with Western tastes. Performance is excellent: over 10 hours on skin, moderate sillage (a bit heavy at first, then progressive), and in the last hours, skin-close. This is with one swipe on skin, so imagine how long a 3ml bottle lasts, and this isn’t one of their most potent. Ideal for nighttime and cool or temperate climates, but on a cold morning like yesterday, it was a champion, blending in perfectly. I liked it a lot; I’ll be buying a larger bottle soon because the cost-to-performance ratio isn’t excessive for the quality, and if you’re looking for something different from today’s market, this is a perfect candidate. I recommend at least trying it.
