Fruity oud, though the oud smells synthetic, it’s pleasant and doesn’t dominate; the blackcurrant and citrus opening make it rich and fun. It’s for going out and turning heads, similar to Hacivat. The strong oud reveals spices and a fresh, heavy balsamic note in the background that pairs perfectly; the dry down is very impressive. Overall, it’s striking and will surely get compliments. It could be a Montale but with better note quality, which is a relief, because those ‘sniff-me’ perfumes with synthetic notes pretending to be natural rarely succeed. One thing that pleasantly surprised me is that it’s from 2013; I consider it ahead of its time, it could have easily launched last month. If we analyze strictly a perfume at €4.98/ml, it’s simple with standard quality, more flashy than elegant. Scent: 7.5, Projection: 7.4, Longevity: 7.9, Uniqueness: 6.9, Price: €249 (50ml, easy to find on sale). Recommended: Medium-High.
