  1. Agonistes

This scent is a total hit. All of his fragrances are works of art. This one, in particular, tries to replicate the smell of a church, right in front of the altar with the little candles for the dead… and it succeeds. Absolutely brilliant! If I have to nitpick, it’s just a personal preference: I’d dial back the beeswax a bit, as I find it slightly overpowering, and boost the myrrh to emphasize the ecclesiastical atmosphere. Otherwise, it’s a gem that fans of gothic and dark scents can’t miss.
