About Mangoud
Mangoud: The Lab's New Oriental Tropical
The Lab introduces Mangoud, a unisex fragrance launching in 2025. Created by perfumer Mario Galindo, it belongs to the oriental olfactory family and stands out for its distinctive character.
The composition centers on mango and a trio of oud woods: Indian oud, Cambodian oud, and oud wood. The result balances sweet, tropical, and smoky elements.
Oud forms the heart of Mangoud. Indian oud brings warmth and depth, while Cambodian oud adds resinous, slightly animalic nuances. The oud wood base reinforzes the woody, long-lasting foundation.
Mango, for its part, acts as a counterpoint. Its fruity sweetness brightens the blend and provides a tropical edge rarely found in an oriental fragrance. This combination creates a fascinating contrast between the exotic and the familiar.
Detected accords include sweet, warm spicy, fresh spicy, terpenic, and animalic notes. This complexity lets Mangoud evolve on the skin over hours, showing different faces depending on how it is worn.
This is a fragrance with personality, made for those seeking a memorable scent. Its unisex nature makes it versatile, though its intensity suits special occasions or lovers of strong sillage.
Ideal for oud enthusiasts and fans of bold fragrances. Also for anyone looking for an interesting unisex with a tropical yet deep vibe. Not recommended for those who prefer subtle scents.
Mangoud stands out as one of The Lab's most compelling releases in 2025. The fusion of mango and oud, crafted by Mario Galindo, results in a coherent fragrance with notable sillage and a surprising evolution. Definitely a memorable creation.

I was dying to get to know this house, and I got to try it at Mxscent 2025. It was there that I fell in love with MangOud. I tried it on a blotter, I tried it on skin, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It has mango, yes, but like a brown mango, not citrusy, not sparkling, but dark, almost caramelized (only in terms of color). The oud is indeed present, strong, animalic enough to appeal to those who love oud, and controlled enough for those who don’t like it as much. It seems to be very successful in Arabian Gulf countries, and perhaps that can give an idea of the quality of the composition. Very good longevity and medium versatility; it’s more casual than elegant, in my opinion. For me, this one and Neroli Negro are the best of the brand.
