Nardos, nardos, nardos… smells like a creamy aphrodisiac. No wonder, in the Renaissance they banned the nard flower and called it ‘the whore of perfumery’. The longevity is beastly; it lingers on clothes for days. It’s a masterpiece, what a shame they stopped making it.

A fragrance from the glorious 90s, easy to find in specialty stores in its current version. The curious thing is that the women’s bottles are almost identical, except for the color. Mimmina Blu starts creamy and slightly sweet, with barely noticeable melon, hidden under a mix of jasmine and violets in a thick floral blend. In the dry down, it becomes even creamier and a bit dry. The musk and sandalwood add warmth and softness, almost like a body cream. It conveys tranquility and a certain elegance despite having a very competitive price.
