A hidden gem that’s been overlooked: it’s what Le Male and its Elixir aimed to be but never quite achieved. Opens herbal/fruity, then shifts to amber, sweet, and vanilla, settling into resins and wood with a very gradual evolution. You can smell the quality in every drop. It’s a bit darker and woodier than the originals; the opening reminds me of Angels by Killian. The lavender is there, but more macerated and less fresh, staying strong for the first 15-20 minutes. Perfect for fall/winter, or a special date in spring/summer with just a few sprays. Lasts 6-7 hours: 3-4 hours of projection, followed by a personal bubble for another 3 hours.
If you know what quality is, you’ll understand that Le Male Elixir is a lovely dupe with a distinctly rustic touch.
