Total masterpiece. I agree with Juan: it smells incredible and is a top-tier rose with oud. What stands out most is the saffron, smoky woods, and a beautifully crafted rose. This saffron is worthy of Victorius’s Boadicea; it’s that smoky saffron, like a dry Gao meets Oud For Greatness—pure magic. The wood and oud are spicy and deep, not blue-cheesy or as smoky as Gao or Silver Oud, more in the vein of Dior’s Rosewood. The rose has a fresh touch, likely from the matcha, lasting about 15 minutes before settling into a rich oriental red rose that ties everything together. It’s a rose reminiscent of Penhaligon’s Sohan, Oud Ispahan, or a New World interpretation. Undoubtedly a high-quality fragrance operating at the highest level. Don’t be scared off by the myrrh, labdanum, patchouli, and amber—they’re practically nonexistent. Plus, it’s not animalic; I understand why people link it to Ispahan, but Dior’s is brutally smoky and challenging, whereas this is crafted with elegance and versatility that will definitely catch attention.
