The best part is that it’s addictive. A scent that tempts you to sniff your wrist, comforting and reassuring, calm and nothing too transgressive. At first, it feels like a classic, reminiscent of other house fragrances like Mouse Illuminé or Fougère L’Aube, but within an hour it turns fruity, blending that vintage profile with trendy sweetness. It’s a modern update of a classic, perfect for unisex wear. Super versatile: that sweet dry-down makes it ideal for evening, while its classic base (I assume from oakmoss) makes it the office king. It’s not a beast in performance, and you don’t need a bloodhound to smell it—it’s noticeable but not overwhelming; one workday on my skin is plenty. This delight brightens the day, reaffirms my love for perfumery, and delivers that placebo effect.
The best part is that it’s addictive. A scent that makes you want to brush against your wrist, comforting and calming without being provocative. At first, it seems like a classic, similar to others from the house, but within an hour it turns fruity, blending vintage vibes with trendy sweetness. It’s the perfect update of a classic, totally unisex. Very versatile: the sweetness as it dries down makes it ideal for night, while the classic base (thanks to the oakmoss) makes it perfect for the office. It’s not a beast in terms of performance, nor do you need to sniff it like a bloodhound; it’s noticeable but not overwhelming, lasting through a workday. It’s a delight that brightens your day, reaffirms your love for perfumery, and has a placebo effect.
A milky chypre: velvety, dirty apricot mixed with dried, nameless plants. I get the parallel with Rochas Femme, though Rogue feels more Indian, with more raw materials and less ‘I’ve heard this before’ vibe. I detect a heliotrope note, an amazing almond-and-skin accord orbiting that dirty, herbaceous peach. For osmanthus or peach lovers, but also for those who enjoy classic structures; otherwise, it could sound weird.
