I bought a 5ml sample for my wife, but she didn’t like it, so I tried it myself. It opens with a super potent neroli that feels synthetic and like room spray; it doesn’t sit well on me at first, but it softens over time. Then the coconut milk comes through, creating that milky white neroli that lingers until the end. Out of everything I’ve tried from Rogue, this is the one I liked the least; it smells like grandma or an older lady. All their perfumes are classics with a twist, but this one lacks that touch. Not for me. Scent: 3, Longevity: 9, Sillage: 7, Value: 7, Versatility: 7, Originality: 5, Overall: 3. Not keeping it in my collection.
I bought a 5ml sample for my wife, but since she didn’t like it, I gave it a try. The neroli opens with a lot of force, sounding synthetic and like room spray; it doesn’t work for me at first, but it softens over time. Then the coconut milk comes out, leaving that milky white neroli that’s noticeable until the end. The longevity is good and the sillage is moderate, but out of the whole Rogue brand, which usually has a classic twist, this smells like grandma or an older lady and is the one I liked the least. Not for me. Scent: 3, Longevity: 9, Sillage: 7, Value: 7, Versatility: 7, Originality: 5, Overall: 3. Not keeping it in my collection.
Manuel Cross did a brutal job with Rogue Perfumery. This is one of the best tuberoses I’ve ever tried. It has a small flaw in longevity—it doesn’t last long on my skin—and the projection is moderate, but that makes it perfect for daily wear. It’s like a light, everyday version of Frederick Malle’s Carnal Flower, which is richer, more intense, and concentrated, perfect for night. Champs Lunaires opens with a citrusy, fresh vibe and a mentholated touch that cools the nose. Then coconut milk emerges, sweetening it and giving a milky, creamy air, almost like sunscreen at times. The dry down is musky. I see it as a modern perfume with a classic tuberose soul, ideal for day, very elegant and urban. It only lasts 4-5 hours on my skin, but… what 4-5 hours! Scent: 10, Longevity: 7, Sillage: 6, Value: 5, Versatility: 8, Originality: 8, Overall: 9
