Launched in 2006, this composition features an olfactory pyramid that opens with star anise, grapefruit, and bergamot; develops into a heart of ginger, white pepper, and nutmeg; and settles on a base of sandalwood, bamboo, vetiver, and amber. The creation is signed by Jean-Claude Ellena.

It’s a less spicy and sweet variant than the original, more citrusy, perfect for unisex. I tried both and stuck with Opium, though this one is also delicious. It’s just as good, but with its own style; maybe the dry-down is better here due to the citrus, less sweet and spicy. A great candidate for blind buys, just as elegant and distinguished as its predecessor. I recommend it.
Just got this today and it blew my expectations away: the trail and longevity are off the charts, better than average. I absolutely love it dry, even more than Opium. Super happy with the purchase; with those citrus notes, it might be the ‘sport’ version. If you see it, try it: it’s VERY pleasant, elegant, and always current.
