As a huge fan of the band, I’m dying to try this fragrance, but it hurts to think it might never reach my country.
The band’s rough image and the perfume’s name definitely give me goosebumps. A perfume called ‘Cocaine’? I spray it four times on my wrists and neck. Immediately, I find it intriguing, significantly different, and better than the rest of the cheap synthetics on the market. The top notes are quite spicy… just like you imagine when you take a line of coke, and it’s true, it seems to recreate that sensation of fresh coke for a moment. But not the jet-set kind; the dirty, low-quality kind, the one that pushes to the edge of pain, soaked in stories of tears and sweat. Honest coke. The concept is interesting, quite subtle but perceptible for a few hours; it’s a mix of clinical, synthetic, dusty with a good leather note, slightly sweet, and with a fairly prominent iris. The DNA of this scent is similar in its evolution (with due proportions, of course) to Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford, less intense and more refined, so it turns out to be interesting and better than I expected. A journey through the rough neighborhoods of a major city in the future, searching for someone you love who has gotten lost, pushing your attention to the limit so you don’t follow the same path.
