Subtlety isn’t for me… I’m looking for powerful, intense fragrances that make everyone take notice when I walk in, even if they can’t see me. But power doesn’t mean being brash, and this perfume is exactly that: a brash floral bomb with sharp red berries that really push me away. I understand it has its audience, but it’s definitely not for me… Smelling it makes me picture a wealthy, super-pleased older lady, over-dressed and excessive in every way. Sorry, but I just don’t like smelling like that.
I’m not one for subtlety; I prefer powerful, intense fragrances that announce my arrival before anyone even sees my face. But for me, power doesn’t mean being loud or brash. This perfume is exactly that: a loud floral bomb with sharp red berries that really turn me off. I get that it has its fans, but it’s definitely not for me. Smelling it instantly reminds me of a wealthy, overly pleased older lady, dressed to the nines and excessive in every way. Sorry, but I don’t want to smell like that.
I absolutely loved it; it smells interesting and different from anything I’ve tried. The red berries are very noticeable, and I think I can detect rhubarb, though sometimes it gets confused with them, just like the hibiscus. I was intrigued by the oyster note, but I don’t actually smell it; there is a slight marine touch, but I wouldn’t have guessed oysters if I hadn’t read it on the list. It has a floral, fresh vibe that makes it wearable for daily use, even in the heat, though I’m not sure how it would hold up under a scorching August sun. The performance is decent, which is common for this style on my skin, but its originality makes me consider adding it to my collection, even if it’s not a priority. Reminds me of Nishane’s Zenne, though they aren’t the same. Scent: 8.5, Longevity: 8, Projection: 7, Value: 5, Versatility: 8, Uniqueness: 9, Overall: 8.5
