Strong projection, smells like sweet wine, like ‘sangria’ or red plum. Over time it softens and becomes sweeter. Longevity 5/10. Sillage 7/10.
Les Liquides Imaginaires really go out of their way to make sure nothing goes wrong, and here you get a beautiful exotic journey through mysterious greens, sparkling spices, and divine woods. Don’t walk away thinking it’s flashy or loud; L’Ile Pourpre is understated, clings to the skin, and doesn’t shout its presence but surprises you with sporadic bursts that, unfortunately, leave you craving more. It smells like a Moroccan cedar craft shop, green fig, something milky, and a fresh ginger explosion at the start that lingers throughout. It’s a top-tier candidate for a gothic summer perfume if you’re tired of the Amalfi citrus options they keep pushing as the only choice. If it weren’t so expensive (I only overspend when I fall in love, and this one just made me swoon, plus I think it doesn’t last long enough), it would already be on my shelf.
