Winternights from Scent Trunk is a unisex fragrance for men and women that launched in 2026. It was composed by perfumer Michael Nordstrand.
The structure moves from green and herbal to amber and woody: grass, fennel and tobacco flower up top, hay, barley (malt), hart’s-tongue fern and cypress in the heart, then cade oil, labdanum, honey and benzoin underneath.
The opening feels crisp and field-like. Grass brings cool greenness, fennel adds a bright aromatic lift with a lightly spiced edge, and tobacco flower softens it with a pale white-floral touch.
The heart turns drier and more golden. Hay and barley (malt) suggest straw and grain, hart’s-tongue fern keeps the leafy herbal thread alive, and cypress gives it clean aromatic wood.
The base brings smoke and sweetness together. Cade oil adds dry, smoky wood, labdanum pours in amber resin, while honey and benzoin round it out with a cozy balsamic glow.
