  • A whisper of talc and musk that wraps around Le Golden Lullaby, the collaboration by Nathalie Lorson and Jo Malone for Zara. It’s a delicate scent that caresses with baby powder, brand-new toys, and clean soap, without ever veering into floral or overly sweet territory. Its softness makes it ideal for any age; its younger sibling, Le Petit Lullaby EDC, is lighter and more ephemeral, perfect for the little ones. Both are in Zara’s kids’ section, designed to tenderly accompany childhood. While the projection isn’t intense, it invites reapplication, leaving a subtle charm: a fragrance that wraps around and warms up your daily life.

It smells exactly like Zara’s Unusual Wood, almost identical. It smells good, but it’s fresh and acidic.

I bought this blind based on an influencer’s review and the notes they described, but if I’d smelled it first, I wouldn’t have bought it. The sillage and longevity are minimal, though the price is decent and it’s not a disaster. To my nose, it smells citrusy at first, something that isn’t even on the official note list. Then it shifts to a musk that reminds me a lot of a Mercadona fragrance (a white gradient bottle I found in the clearance section that I myself think mimics a niche scent), which comes off as sharp to me. I see it as fresh and will try wearing it in spring to see if it hooks me or if I throw it away, since I just don’t like smelling like a mass-market supermarket cologne. Right now, I’m in limbo: I like it, I don’t like it…

I bought this blind based on an influencer’s review and the notes they described, but if I’d smelled it first, I definitely wouldn’t have bought it. It has very little sillage and longevity, though the price is decent and not a dealbreaker. To my nose, it smells citrusy at first, which isn’t even listed on the note pyramid. Then it shifts to a musk that reminds me a lot of a Zara fragrance (a white gradient bottle I found in the clearance section that I think also mimics a niche scent). It feels a bit sharp to me. It looks fresh, so I’ll try wearing it in spring to see if it wins me over or if I toss it entirely. I just don’t like smelling like a mass-market drugstore cologne. Right now, I’m in limbo: I like it, I don’t like it…
