Fragantica falls short on the notes: grapefruit and neroli at the start, pink pepper, ginger, and cardamomo in the middle, with a base of incense, sandalwood, and leather. I tested it in both cold and heat, and it changes quite a bit. In winter, the opening is citrusy and spicy with grapefruit, pepper, and ginger; then the leather and cardamomo emerge, settling into a sweet, powdery leather. In summer, dry sandalwood dominates with the grapefruit giving way to woods and cardamomo, with pepper taking the lead after an hour. The leather lingers in the background. It always opens strong but fades to skin scent quickly, lasting about 6 hours. It’s a unisex ideal for dynamic people on mild, windy days. I love these androgynous fragrances, but Super 8 didn’t win me over: I expected better quality and performance for that price—I wouldn’t pay 190€.
