This perfume resembles The Merchant of Venice’s Andalusian Soul like an egg to a walnut. While Andalusian Soul is gourmand, Suki Essence is basically spicy. Sometimes chasing clones gets expensive, and this was the case. Since Suki Essence was so cheap and I wanted that scent (which I ultimately didn’t get with Weil), I gave it a try. It smells warm and incensey, not sweet, packed with spices, especially cinnamon and a bit of clove. The best part is its slow dry-down. Soft sillage and lasts about 9 hours. It’s pleasant but too dry for my taste and doesn’t stand out. I’ve worn it all year and it never changes. Maybe it works for layering with vanillas, adding maturity to sweet scents. In the end, I gave it to someone who enjoys it more. It would have been better without my high expectations. Scent 5/10, Longevity 9/10, Sillage 6/10, Value 8/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy again? No.

Beautiful perfume! Very solar and warm. Sweetness wrapped in woods, incense, and oriental fruits. Works great in spring and autumn, doesn’t miss a beat in winter, day or night. Starts with delicious dates (first time I’ve smelled this note in a perfume and I love them) and plum. Then the sweetened incense takes the spotlight without overpowering, leading to a woody base of vanilla and amber that lasts for hours. A delight from start to finish. Sophisticated, versatile, charming, and full of personality. It gives me the same feeling as Chopard’s Casmir: a morning stroll through an Arab bazaar with stalls selling dates, incense, and spices under the sun. Bought it blind out of curiosity about the date note and its reasonable price. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Just arrived and it’s very peculiar: the opening is bitter bergamot, not fresh, and almost immediately the sweetness of dates hits. I don’t detect the rose, but I do smell potent incense and oud. It smells sweet, spicy, and vintage. Totally unisex, with great longevity and good sillage. I love it, though it’s not for everyone; if you’re looking for niche scents, oud, and unique spices, this is your aroma. For the price, it’s a beast that rivals expensive fragrances. Leaves a pleasant spicy sweetness on the skin, ideal for those who feel empowered. Surprised me in the best way! 🥰

Bought it blind because someone said it reminded me of my beloved Indecense Organza… and yes, it has that dry cinnamon note so appealing, though it lacks the knockout punch of Indecense. It has soft sillage, doesn’t overwhelm, but it’s comforting to smell and feel it close, perhaps due to that Indecense memory. The price is fantastic! Great for sampling and keeping in the back of the closet. Ideal for bedtime 😉
