Have you worn Silences Eau de Parfum Sublime?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. Silences EDP Sublime is a movie remake nobody asked for. They tried to refresh a dispensable classic, but the result is a shadow of what it used to be. The galbanum, once a sharp hit, is now a sad whisper among extremely heavy green notes that don’t intrigue but make you wonder why you keep smelling it. The raspberry and pear opening lasts five seconds, then everything turns into a dull floral powder that doesn’t even shine with the rose. The aldehydes are timid, like a bottle forgotten in the grocery store. The dry-down is invisible and the longevity is non-existent. The only good thing: if you don’t like it, it disappears fast. In short, the sublime is forgetting it in minutes.

  2. Verrouski

It smells very similar to the original Silences, with slight differences but quite alike. It’s less earthy, mossy, and aromatic. That melancholic vibe of a wet forest that I loved so much in the original doesn’t give me the same feeling here, although the sillage and projection seem better. I wouldn’t go crazy to buy the reformulated version or pay the price, because I don’t think it’s worth the investment.

Silences is a classic herbal aldehydic scent with a vintage vibe: a delicate homage to old-school perfumery where herbal notes blend with the sparkle of aldehydes, creating an elegant and sober trail. It smells like humid air with that green, earthy touch of moss, like dawn in a magical forest, conveying calm and mystery without being loud. Perfect for informal daily wear, it’s discreet yet present, and works great mixed with fresh fragrances, adding a subtle nuance that enriches without competing. I wish it lasted longer and projected better, but its delicate essence and sober bottle denote high-end quality. 🍀

A classic herbal aldehydic fragrance with a vintage vibe. Silences is a delicate homage to old-school perfumery, where herbal notes blend with aldehydes to create elegance and sobriety. It’s like a breath of humid air with green moss and earthiness; a dawn in an enchanted forest, calm and mysterious without being loud. Ideal for informal daily wear: discreet but present. It also works well for layering, adding a subtle nuance without competing. I’d love more projection and longevity, but its delicate essence and sober bottle reflect superior quality.

  6. Psicostasis

The first time I smelled it, those crisp greens gave me a huge scare: bitter, almost edible, like chewing on grass, with aggressive and raspy aldehydes. Then comes that floral, musky vetiver, overwhelming, like a cramped room, like a sixth-grade teacher cornering you, like a civil servant class staring at you while talking about empathy. It needs a modern clergyman with a shock presence to make the silence work. On the second try, with the greens, it was like with Dijon mustard: once immunized from the initial punch, the aldehyde edges softened and the molecules slid more gently. It’s still hard and rugged, but among the cut stems, you can glimpse small misty worlds, anchored with comforting and almost warm musk. By suggestion, I imagine valley lilies sheltered safely from the storm of weed trimmers that the Silences opening brings.

I hate it completely. It smells old and lasts about 4 hours, but the first two hours overwhelm you with flowers and patchouli at full throttle. It reminds me of other fragrances like Nina, but this one is softer. I tested it in the perfume store comparing the two and stuck with the Nina one. A horror.

  9. Amazing. Very similar to 19 Eau de Toilette, but less sharp. The notes feel more rounded, like a cohesive whole. The iris isn’t as prominent, but galbanum dominates, keeping that forest vibe throughout the projection. I barely notice the florals, but it ends on a woody drydown. It lasts about seven hours on my skin, very close to the skin. Still, it’s worth it. I think I’ve finally found my perfume, and the price is quite reasonable.

  10. Silences by Jacomo is one of the best perfumes I’ve ever owned. An elegant and feminine scent.
