This is my fifth pure attar oil from Oud, recommended by my Valencian friend Juan, who, like me, lives with his head in fragrances. I love that people notice the good vibes I carry; in these divisive political times, scent unites us and reminds us what makes us happy. Thanks to chatting with Juan and Seufi from The Perfumist, I’ve realized there are aromas for pure personal enjoyment, like putting a drop on the back of your hand before bed to find peace. Seufi blends three ouds (Indian, Indonesian, and Laotian) distilled in copper with 20 years of aging. It starts wild and powerful, then evolves into sweet notes of red fruits and spicy balsamic florals. Being 100% natural, it lasts 24 hours on skin, though its projection is intimate—perfect for captivating close Oud lovers. Wild, masculine, earthy, woody, aged, and dark… an ideal pleasure to bid farewell to 2019 and step into a 2020 full of hope.
