  Rough sandalwood with an ambered base and a medicinal opening reminiscent of M7, lasting about 6 hours. Once it dries down, it becomes powdery and loses that medicinal edge, recalling Arabian Oud’s Woody Style. It lasted another 6 hours on top. I bought it two years ago for $100; while the bottle and box are luxurious, the liquid doesn’t deserve the niche label. My Ajmal BLU, which costs a third of the price, smells just as good or better, proving that here the price is for the packaging, not the quality. Rough like Laudano Nero but sweeter. Formal, best for cold weather, lasts up to 12 hours (6 hours on the skin). I doubt Hatakora or OudEsire are as magical as people say.

  Better oud than Dunhill, finer and less alcoholic, with a sweet dry-down. It reminds me of Lattafa’s Opulent Oud, but without that westernized branding; Al Haramain and Swiss Arabian are good too, but Ajmal remains the king of oud. Soft, versatile, and not overpowering—perfect for cold days. Solid quality and a safe bet in their mid-to-high range.
