  • A sublime, sensual, and sexy discovery. A fragrance that makes you want to sniff yourself until you’re sick of it. Pleasantly surprised me. Soft citrus opening with orange blossom and bergamot offering something unique—floral and citrusy yet sweet and elegant. It then unfolds in splendor, revealing mysterious notes. The base features soft, sensual vanilla, with moments where raspberry stands out, wrapped in very delicate flowers. Sometimes it turns floral with a sexy fruity note; just when you think there are no more changes, the raspberry returns with floral hints, then floral and fruity again, and so on until the end. I loved it, simply brilliant, without being loud, cloying, or flashy. Long-lasting, moderate sillage. On my skin, it lasted 8 hours with moderate projection from the start. Very versatile for hot climates, usable day and night.

  • The opening of BEJAR’s PASSIONATE MAN is bold and hints at the debate of the coming hours. An effervescent bergamot citrus note set within a Mediterranean floral bouquet, placing it in the floral woody family. Notes of orange blossom, rose, jasmine, geranium, and ginger (undeclared). These are Mediterranean flowers: fresh, ozonic, marine, loaded with sun and blue. Rural flowers, almondy, orange-hued, smiling like little girls running down the hills of the Mediterranean. Laughing and shouting, seized by joy, they gather bergamot, vegetable musk, and ginger, place them in baskets of flowers, and let petals fall over white dresses. The riot of color, scent, and Mediterranean taste. This is BEJAR’s PASSIONATE MAN, bought because of Darkbeat’s review, and one of the ones I’ve worn most recently because it brightens my day. SCENT: Pure Mediterranean / SILLAGE: moderate / LONGEVITY: high / PERFORMANCE: high / VALUE FOR MONEY: excellent / USAGE: very versatile.

  • Another one I don’t like. A mountain of greasy, musky petals, a masculine floral from the 90s with a citrus/musk undertone from the bergamot and an unsweetened raspberry. In some phases, it sounds unisex. Every time I smelled it, it seemed like a potent, creamy body wash, radiating like a boar in rut and lasting for centuries. I imagine a well-off family man fresh off a tennis shower, heading to the harbor for an aperitif. Something outdated and costumbrist, like a savings pass with the old CAM logo. The curious part: I forgot about it because I didn’t wear much of it, but after showering and smelling my wrist, it left behind an oriental, sandalwood-and-vanilla scent, incense-stick shop style, nothing like the opening. If you like perfumes like Don Algodón or familiar summer musks, it’s a budget option with nuances. It feels synthetic, but that’s not a problem compared to L’Homme Prada, which costs 3 or 4 times more and smells like a club contact sprayer in Alicante.

  • Excellent clone of Creed Silver Mountain Water. Perfect construction, smells almost identical. The only thing missing is that typical Creed musk, but who cares. It’s a luminous bergamot, like a pitcher of fresh lemonade with floral, marine notes, and a comforting sweetness. I now think Béjar’s creations are magnificent. The value-for-money is unbeatable, painfully cheap for enjoying 99% of something worth 15 times more. I already liked Al Rehab Silver, but this one from Béjar is better, with more longevity than the original. The ingenuity and craftsmanship take you to unexpected places. I’m dying to try their originals.

  • Jean-Baptiste Grenouille

My first contribution here, where I’ve spent years enjoying scents, is a ‘fake’ that doesn’t even register if you dive headfirst into it; I tossed it straight in the recycling bin. As they used to say in Spain before the euro: ‘nobody gives duros for two pesetas’.
