The name hints at something oblique and secretive, and the scent follows that path. This is not a loud leather; it is one that softens into iris, jasmine, and oud while keeping a subtle animalic edge.
The opening blends blackcurrant, pink pepper, bergamot, and saffron. It reads fresh and lively at first, with pink pepper adding a bright tingle and saffron introducing a warm, slightly resinous spice.
At the heart, geranium, jasmine, leather, amber, orris root, and oud wood create an intriguing tension. The leather is smoothed by jasmine and the powdery root of iris, while amber and oud bring heat and depth.
Patchouli, oakmoss, vetiver, and oud wood anchor the base. Because oud appears both in the heart and base, it functions like a thread through the composition; oakmoss and vetiver add an earthy, green finish.
