Zenof is right: once the fragrance settles, the performance is more than acceptable, and it works amazingly on clothes.
Both comparisons to Alexandria and Ombre Leather fit. It doesn’t replace either nor is it identical, but it does carry that musky, woody, and ambergris character of the first, mixed with TF’s ash-like leather. Everything is well-blended and kept at a contained volume. It’s a difficult scent, seemingly out of place in a generalist brand’s lineup, but it’s good to see them take the risk.
Carloslainezd, I’ve had Nightfall for four months and its performance now has nothing to do with its initial output; more than six sprays can become overwhelming, but it lasts about 8 hours without issues, not just on the skin. It’s not Massimo Dutti’s best, but it’s a beast of a fragrance, which says a lot about the brand.
I bought it blindly and honestly, I’m not passionate about it. It’s a citrus-resinous opening with mandarin and little else. The worst part is the longevity, which is quite weak; the trail stays in a personal bubble. I’ve showered with it, sprayed it on clothes, and there’s no lasting power. It’s a pleasant scent, but MD has better options like the fresh Juniper Berries and Ginger, the woody Black Evening, Sandy Papirus, the delicate Cotton & Green Sage, the marine Island Accord, or the spicy Kashbat Sunsent.
