  Beyond what Fragantica states, the website confirms it contains black pepper essence, which hits hard right from the start. The moment you apply it, it smells very alcoholic, woody-spiced, with a smoky touch reminiscent of Lagavulin. The alcohol fades quickly, leaving the pepper to give way to a deeply woody phase dominated by smoky guaiac wood and earthy patchouli. This stage lasts a few hours before settling into the classic smoky green of vetiver. As for performance, about five sprays provide good projection and it lasts around 12 hours on my skin. I absolutely loved it, but clearly it’s not for me. It’s an elegant, slightly formal scent, best suited for cold weather; while wearable during the day, I see it more as a nighttime fragrance. Extremely masculine at first, then it becomes more unisex once the vetiver kicks in. I picture this on a mature, confident man who enjoys the finer things in life.
