Picked this up for five dollars out of curiosity. Waiting to write the full review. For now, just clarifying that the ‘hot lava’ scent isn’t literal; it’s a wood and spice accord. Very clever marketing strategy.
Short and sweet: it’s a sweet, warm spice. Lasts about 6 hours on skin and projects very little. I wouldn’t buy it again; I’ll probably gift it. It’s not bad, but with a minimal collection, I just don’t feel like using it anymore.
Sweet, that’s the keyword. At first, the apple stands out with a hint of lemon in the background, a nice transition. These top notes don’t last more than 15 minutes on my skin. Then the spicy notes take over and finish with a creamy scent on the skin. Performs better at night, but watch out with the sprays because it can get cloying. Regarding the lava, yes, it has that burning note you can imagine, but I can’t define it 100%. On my skin, it lasts over 3 hours. I live in a warm city, and during the day, longevity drops by at least an hour or two compared to night.
Starts with a sharp pineapple and tart apple, then drops into a subtle synthetic floral with musk. The clove makes a very marked appearance after two hours before fading away. I wouldn’t buy it again; I got it because people say it activates strongly in the heat, which I haven’t noticed. It’s a very synthetic scent, but it does smell good.
Imagine a grill with the wood just catching fire, a little extra kick, roasted pineapple and lemons alongside strong incense. All that mixes with a boozy, slightly earthy, almost asphalt-like touch, yet it smells wonderfully creamy. Lasts 5 to 6 hours. The first two hours have bursts of scent, then it softens but remains present. Good perfume.
Hey, I grabbed this on sale and absolutely loved it. On my skin, it’s perfect for cold weather, but I think it’s super unisex for a guy too. If you like spices, you’ll adore it. Sillage and longevity are moderate, but for the price, it’s great. If it were more intense and long-lasting, I’d go crazy and add it to my favorites, even though I’ve worn it for 6-7 hours and it’s still there.
Just picked this up, and while it’s a catalog item, it caught me off guard. For the price, it’s a beast and smells like delicious food. Perfect for fall and winter. The only thing missing is longevity and projection, but the first few hours are a delight with that super creamy nutmeg. The Avon Musk line has surprised me, though its longevity is its Achilles’ heel.
