About Météorite
Météorite: A New Citrus-Aromatic Gem from YAMM Genève
Météorite marks the newest addition to YAMM Genève's men's collection, arriving in 2025 with a bright, citrus-forward profile. Created by perfumer Florian Vicario, it balances Mediterranean freshness with a warm, spiced undercurrent.
First impressions are dominated by Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian orange, and mandarin, but the composition quickly reveals a more complex heart. Guatemalan cardamom, Indonesian nutmeg, and Tunisian neroli mingle with black and pink pepper before settling into a Java vetiver base.
Météorite opens with an energetic citrus trio that feels both sun-soaked and crisp. The Calabrian bergamot is tart and slightly floral, while Sicilian orange and mandarin add sweetness and a soft tang.
From there, the spice accord takes over. Guatemalan cardamom brings an airy, almost green sharpness; Indonesian nutmeg adds warmth; and two types of pepper create a gentle heat. Tunisian neroli, meanwhile, keeps the heart bright with its orange-blossom freshness.
The base is intentionally simple: Java vetiver oil. This single ground note gives Météorite a woody, slightly smoky finish that lasts on skin for hours. It anchors the brighter elements without making the fragrance feel heavy or overpowering.
The overall accords are citrus, fresh spicy, aromatic, warm spicy, woody, and soft spicy. This mix makes Météorite versatile enough for daytime wear, especially in spring and summer, yet sophisticated enough for dinners and evening events.
Given its 2025 debut, Météorite is a modern take on the classic men's citrus fragrance. It avoids the usual sweetness of many contemporary masculines and instead emphasizes clarity, spices, and earthy depth.
Men who prefer bright, spicy cologne-style fragrances with a woody finish, and anyone seeking a versatile scent for warm weather or year-round office wear.
Météorite is a well-crafted debut that proves a citrus aromatic doesn't need to be boring. With its sharp opening, spiced heart, and velvety vetiver base, it's an excellent choice for those who want a masculine fragrance that is both fresh and characterful.
