It’s a good perfume, though I see it as a bit mature, more suitable for people 35 and up. Once it dries down, it becomes ambered with a touch of incense that doesn’t smell like a church. The best part is how it dries down; you can tell the quality in every phase. Here in this climate, it’s fresh almost year-round, so I use it for everything, casual and formal. I give it a 7: good longevity and it definitely makes people notice.
It’s a fragrance that strays quite far from the Zoologist line, yet it’s usable. While it has that ‘animalic herbal’ facet, it lasts only a few minutes in the opening. It’s sweet, slightly woody in the dry-down thanks to the sandalwood, but the note that dominates is apple. Unlike Panda, which feels fresher, here the apple is a bit artificial, similar to the smell of McDonald’s apple pies, so much so that it reminds me more of a Christmas scent than the animal it’s named after. As for longevity, I think it’s decent, but it doesn’t have much sillage. I recommend it more for summer and winter, and for daytime wear.
