I know many people love it, but for me, it smells too much like flowers and seems like a vintage perfume. Honestly, it doesn’t convince me that much.
If it had better longevity, it would be a bomb. It’s gorgeous, and although it sounds classic, it works all year round, day and night. I remember it from teachers or familiar places; my olfactory memory recognizes it instantly. In the end, it stays intimate: it projects for the first 2 hours and then settles into the skin, but it does fade a bit. It reminds me of Diamonds and Rubies by Elizabeth Taylor, but that one is spicier and more dramatic; Liasson is fresher and calmer. It’s also similar to Volupté by Oscar de la Renta, though the latter is sweeter. In short, Liasson draws from the classics of the late 80s and early 90s: elegance and that quiet floral vibe of the past, moving away from bomb scents like Paloma Picasso or Obsession. By the 90s, ‘less is more’ returned and the aquatic floral was born… ufff, I got inspired, but if you made it this far, a hug <3.
I tested it in winter and it worked great on skin. It lasts about 8 hours, projecting occasionally with a moderate sillage for the first 2 hours, then it becomes a personal bubble. I think it’s for people 30+. It has a bit of a hard edge to the flowers, with an iris softened by fruity notes. It’s deep but not invasive. In my opinion, nothing youthful. And the regular price is very high; I wouldn’t pay more than 19-20 thousand CLP (about $20) for the 50ml on sale.
It’s true it smells a bit more ‘mature’, but without being heavy like others in its style. I loved it when I tested it in the catalog; to me, it’s the scent of a classy woman. However, I only use 1 or 2 sprays because it’s very concentrated, and if I put on more, it might become annoying. Sometimes I mix it with the classic 212 by Carolina Herrera so it’s not so intense.
