7.5/10 Worth it

A coherent flanker to its parent fragrance. In the dry-down, they share that soft, woody touch. The development is fast: it starts with a burst of herbal verbena and bergamot, moves through the soapy aldehyde phase, then turns spicy and powdery, likely due to the coriander, before slowly settling into woods and amber. It’s a classic, fresh citrus scent for daytime, smells clean, and is sportier than L’Homme.

Great perfume, unfortunately discontinued. It’s citrusy and spicy. Honestly, I don’t think anyone would hate it. The only downside is the projection is a bit short. It’s ideal for indoor spaces and summer climates, or anything above 20-25 degrees. It won’t be overwhelming. I’d say it’s a fragrance to enjoy on your own. It was my first Yves Saint Laurent, so I have a strong affection for it. Nowadays, it’s not worth it unless you want something just for yourself.

I’ve always been (and will always be) a purist when it comes to Yves Saint Laurent fragrances. But since I’m very versatile, there are exceptions like this one. It’s one of the ones I like from the L’Homme line, even though I’m not a fan of what the brand is selling now. I bought it because it felt youthful and interesting, while keeping part of the original character with better longevity. In this flanker, cardamomo dominates with that citrus twist. It’s super versatile and delivers every time. It’s discontinued, but I wouldn’t buy it again because it’s not a scent that drives me crazy, plus the absurd prices on eBay for something that doesn’t last long. Longevity: 5-6 hours. Sillage: moderate, sometimes weak (depends on application).

I love it; it doesn’t smell artificial, has plenty of notes, and I dislike none. It seems perfect because it’s long-lasting and doesn’t have a huge trail; that’s an advantage because a perfume with a big trail can be aggressive even if it smells good. It reaches home at night and I still smell it. It’s perfect for the office because it conveys energy, it’s informal yet I wear it with a suit without issues. I love it; I’m almost finishing the 100ml bottle. I love that it smells strong up close. I own many designer perfumes but this is the one I like and use most, even for sleeping. Actually, everyone likes it.

I love it. To me, it doesn’t smell artificial; it has plenty of notes and none of them are unpleasant. It seems perfect to me because it’s long-lasting and doesn’t have a huge sillage; that’s an advantage because a perfume with too much sillage can be aggressive even if it smells good. I get home at night and I can still smell it. It’s perfect for the office because it conveys energy, it’s informal, yet I wear it with suits without any issue. I love it; I’m almost out of my 100ml bottle. I love that it smells strong up close. I own many designer perfumes, but this is my favorite and I use it all the time, even to sleep. Everyone loves it.

Very disappointed. I tried it twice on skin at different perfumeries. It has a nice citrus and slightly floral opening, rich and pleasant. But by evening, it has no projection, just faint woody tones. I don’t know, maybe it’s my skin’s pH… but the Chanel Allure Sport I use for work is better and lasts longer. Very cliché fragrance… Scent: 6/10. Longevity: 5/10. Projection: 5/10. Versatility: 7/10. Still, tastes are tastes and every skin is different.

A fresh and spicy fragrance, another countless flanker in this line. Sometimes I don’t understand why houses insist on producing an endless variety of products riding on the fame of the original. Three or four would be enough. It seems a bit superfluous in this series, with a lifespan not up to the standard of the French house, despite the quite pleasant citrus-aldehyde combination. Very synthetic, and in my case, I don’t notice anything outstanding that makes me applaud it.

I was pleasantly surprised. I see it as a blend between Allure Sport without the sweetness of the dry down and Allure Cologne. The citrus with aldehydes worked great for me, even though aldehydes usually bother me. The performance was much better than expected, and the freshness lasts a long time.

Smells great. They let me try it, and although I ended up buying the one from Libre in the same house, I really liked this one. It’s one of those I say is gift-worthy for a friend.

The opening of this fragrance is an explosion of delicious citrus and spring herbs. In its mid-phase, it becomes more classic, a scent of cleanliness, and at the end, ambroxan gives it a sensual and cozy tone. It’s versatile and nowhere near heavy.

It opens citrusy with aldehydes, very pleasant but not natural; to me it smells like liquid detergent and that kills the interest. I agree with Prieth: YSL fails on creativity; this fragrance wasn’t needed if they hadn’t copied what they already have. I prefer their Pour Homme, which performs better and has more personality. It feels like YSL wants to retire its classics and only launches flankers. The dry down reminds me of the original L’Homme with soft cedar and amber. That’s all.

For me, it’s the best sport: soft, huggable, and inviting to smell.

Smells like cheap, synthetic cologne. Very generic. Not for me, and definitely not good enough to kill bugs.

Bad fragrance, very synthetic and generic, smells like cheap cologne. I’d use it to kill bugs.

The only redeeming part is the opening of this L’Homme flanker: intense bergamot, a slightly sweet touch, soft aldehydes, and a nice lemon-cedar note. By mid-stage, I only notice the woody elements. The dry down is very soft cedar and amber. It’s a soft aromatic woody scent, ideal for summer or spring, interesting for the first two or three hours. The trail is low and the longevity exceeds 12 hours, though close to the skin it feels like half that time. I think this flanker was unnecessary; it adds nothing substantial; they just threw another ‘sport’ into the mix. For fresh fragrances in this price range, I stick with Dior Homme Sport/Cologne or Allure Home Sport Cologne. If you’re looking for something low-key for summer, it might work, but it’s expensive for what it offers, and there are similar or better options for less.
