  What a beast of a neroli! It fills the room with warmth. Three notes: neroli, flowers, and amber. Nicolas de Barry doesn’t paint with water; it’s intense and delicious. There’s no review that explains it, you have to try it to understand it. It starts with a powerful, bitter, and floral neroli with orange. Then, a bunch of flowers for me that are indecipherable, very intense but harmonized. A warm amber base that gives it sweetness and an oriental body. What’s the best of Louis XV? The sensation of pleasure and that it serves for everything. Like Fleurs d’Oranger, it’s for both sexes. Its intensity is brutal, it lasts all day. The vigorous opening and the faint ending, like a sunset: without the strength to warm, but with splendid orange beauty. Not for stifling heat, yes for winter, but now that spring is starting, that’s where it suits best.

  What a beast of a neroli! It fills the room with warmth and has three groups of notes: neroli, floral bouquet, and amber. The best thing is that Nicolas de Barry doesn’t skimp on essence; it feels intense and incredibly delicious. There’s no review that holds up, you have to try it to understand it, but to give you an idea: it starts with a strong neroli, a floral wave, and a well-blended bitter note with orange. In between, a panoply of indecipherable flowers emerges, very intense but perfectly harmonized. Finally, the warm amber base rounds everything off with its sweetness and oriental body. What’s the best of Louis XV? The tremendous sensation of pleasure and that it’s used in any circumstance, just like Lutens’ Fleurs d’Oranger, suitable for both sexes. Another good quality: the intensity, it lasts all day. So good is its vigorous beginning as its faint ending, identical to a sunset; although its rays no longer have the strength to warm us, they offer splendid beauty in orange tones. It’s not suitable for stifling seasons, it’s good for winter, but surely now, with the start of spring, that’s where we can use it best.

  Agree with Brasidas, this is a total olfactory experience. The perfume is an ode to neroli, super opulent. It gives me the sensation of looking back and catching the scent that King Louis XV would have worn amidst his amorous games with courtesans, in overflowing luxury, without noticing the suffering of the people just before the Revolution. The opening is an explosion: a bouquet of white flowers, with many flowers, where neroli takes the lead, accompanied by jasmine, gardenia, and others, with a citrus note that highlights the orange. Minutes later, a note appears, I think amber, which gives it a peculiar touch; it turns that powdery-floral base into something oriental and produces a very special ‘honeyed’ sensation. The dry down, when it settles, reaches its fullness at the hour and is magnificent. The quality is exceptional, but you have to love neroli or bouquets of white flowers, not fresh, but oriental, dense, and opulent. Very classic. The longevity is very good, with a huge trail at the start that then calms down and stays close to the skin. Very curious, different from what I usually wear and of high quality, although I don’t feel comfortable using it frequently.
