I was gifted a 30 ml bottle when buying another perfume. It’s very sweet; what stands out most is the coconut. I liked it, but I wouldn’t buy it because it only lasts two hours.

I just went to the pharmacy looking for a mid-to-low-range perfume for daily use. After seeing horrible options, I spotted Mad Love hiding and grabbed it without thinking, as I’d wanted to try the flanker to the hated Mad Potion for a while due to Fragrantica’s notes. I loved it from the first spray. I didn’t think it would project an ice cream scent, but I was wrong: it smells like coconut and strawberry ice cream. That’s what I was looking for. The opening is strawberry ice cream with coconut; after 10 minutes, a phase kicks in that evokes Meow, not by notes but by that baby soap smell (a mix of musk and white flowers shared with Meow). Then the coconut takes over, creamy, sweet, and fun. The coconut note is one of the best I’ve ever smelled. Compared to Meow, which is warmer, vanilla-forward, and potent, Mad Love is softer and timeless. Both have a soapy touch, but it’s more prolonged in Meow. I recommend it if you love sugary and gourmand scents but want something more wearable. The downside is that it’s weak: small sillage and 3-4 hours of longevity; you need to reapply or overapply. To fix it, use coconut or vanilla cream underneath. The bottle is weird and looks cheap: marble cap and pink body with random arrows. They mixed concepts with a low budget. The advantage is that it’s plastic, so you can carry it in your wallet without worry. I liked it a lot and will buy it for my birthday. Rating 8/10.

  • Perfume masterpiece. Yes, I’m one of those who loves smelling like a sweet, well-sugared dessert. If this is your style, you need it in your collection right now, sweetheart.

  • I bought it today, and it’s identical to the Meow by the same Katy Perry, which I already own. I wouldn’t have bought it because they’re the same and don’t have different notes.

  • I love it; it’s special for summer and lasts quite a while. On my skin, it settles as a slightly acidic strawberry with sweet coconut, an interesting blend. However, I have an allergy to one of the ingredients; it’s original, but I’m not sure what’s going on. Since I like it so much, I apply it to my clothes; I’m gifting the other bottle.

  • A delicate gourmand, perfect even in summer. Nothing invasive or cloying; it works well at work. At first, you notice the sorbet, then the creamy sweet coconut and strawberry stand out. It’s a simple fragrance, perhaps linear, but very pleasant. It doesn’t feel childish to me. Good longevity, moderate but noticeable sillage. I love it. Scent 10/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 9/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.

Katy Perry Mad Love is an unpretentious essence, nothing like the celebrity gala perfumes; it’s for everyday wear. It’s very youthful, almost like Ariana Grande’s Ari, that candy or cotton candy scent. Mad Love follows suit: sweet coconut with a strawberry jam trail and a touch of grapefruit. It’s sweet and persistent, at least on my skin. The curious thing is that when it dries, it smells like a brand new Barbie doll out of the box. I don’t dislike it; it’s cute and brings back memories, but I don’t think a 40-year-old woman would want to smell like that. It would be an ideal gift for a girl aged 10 to 25. It’s sweet and adorable.

For a celebrity fragrance, the quality is excellent. What stands out most is the strawberry and coconut, a fruity, sweet, and exquisite aroma. I recommend it for young girls, but my motto is: if you like it, wear it. If it smells good, let gender or age matter less. I’ve worn strong men’s perfumes, and this wouldn’t look out of place on a man, but due to my feminine pH, it’s perfect on me. It’s like a strawberry dessert with sweet coconut. Take advantage while the quality is high; I like the marble-top (plastic) cap; the rest is simple but worth it.

Rich scent, a blend of strawberry and coconut that balances sweetness with freshness. Although the marketing targets young girls, anyone can wear it and it suits any season.

  • Someone said it’s shy… nothing of the sort for me. It’s one of the sweetest scents in my collection. I define it as an intense sweet fruity scent, with a tart touch and a coconut from start to finish. Imagine a juicy strawberry, with its tart bite and coconut oil. That’s what it smells like. A vacation vibe, haha. I have the fantasy of Britney Spears and the sweetness is at that level, only ‘Mad Love’ has that tart and coconut touch that makes it more intense. It’s for daytime use; in heat it can be cloying. It’s not elegant, it’s casual, youthful, and cheerful. I imagine a girl in a swimsuit and Hawaiian skirt. Being affordable, the longevity is excellent. Its performance on skin is good. If you love sweet, gourmand, and casual scents, I recommend this.

  • One of my most praised perfumes. The coconut note is very noticeable: fresh and juicy, perfect for summer. Delicious fragrance with excellent longevity and sillage.

  • RubyCrystal

Strawberry and coconut ice cream! It opens like a sorbet with a touch of grapefruit and quickly moves to its star notes: strawberry, coconut, and sorbet. Overall, it’s sweet from start to finish, smells like strawberry ice cream with a hint of coconut, absolutely delicious. It’s sweet, cheerful, innocent, and youthful, perhaps ‘shy’ due to the sweetness, but without dismissing its longevity and sillage, which are great, moderate, and radiate beyond the arm. It lasts all day. It’s very versatile, works all year, in cold or heat. Ideal for daily wear. Its presentation is quirky and cute. Smells similar to ‘Wild Orchid’ by Beyoncé, though not identical. I was charmed by this feminine fragrance.

  • A sweet scent that isn’t cloying, summery and spring-like at the same time. The jar and name fit perfectly. That strawberry with coconut, unlike colognes that turn people off. It makes me feel youthful, sweet, and girly. Totally in love, plus it lasts a long time.

  • I bought it blindly for the coconut note I didn’t perceive; it’s more fruity than gourmand. On my skin, it doesn’t last very long.

  • Perfumaniaca 23

I bought it looking for coconut and freshness for summer. I really liked it; it’s super soft, ideal for sleeping or relaxing at home. The opening is very alcoholic, but then the fruits come out. In the dry down, you smell a lot of vanilla and coconut. It doesn’t say ‘whipped cream’ in the notes, but I do sense it: it’s not that processed jar cream, but a natural milky cream. With the strawberry, it smells exactly like a strawberry shake. The bottle and box are gorgeous and it’s an excellent option for the price. Lasts a bit more than three hours, but edit: it lasts a ton! 7-8 hours, delicious and fresh.

  • Ambar Pérez

Soft, sweet, and very affordable. Worth it if you like soft, fruity aromas. From the bottle, it smells like caramel. The opening has a strong alcohol hit that fades quickly to reveal the strawberry and fruity notes. In the dry down, coconut and vanilla shine 🍓🥥🍦. The sillage is soft, clings to the skin, and lasts 1-3 hours on me (a bit longer on clothes). Costs less than $20, don’t expect more.

  • Exquisite fragrance for me. Smells like coconut, vanilla, and raspberry. It’s linear, doesn’t change much, but it’s gorgeous. I recommend it to anyone who likes sweet scents, and the price is excellent.

  • The first time I applied it, I thought of Katy Perry’s ‘Meow’ (just in the opening), which I love. But this smells fresher and fruitier, with lots of coconut. My ‘Mad Love’ is better after an hour; the dry down is incredible. The longevity isn’t eternal but it’s regular, and the sillage is too.

  • I love it: sweet without being cloying. It’s a cloud of coconut, strawberry, and vanilla with a citrus touch. It feels milky, like whipped cream. It’s relaxing, super casual, and versatile. I wear it daily without getting tired of it. Reminds me of Cloud by Ariana Grande but more feminine. Absolutely delicious!

  • It smells similar to Fantasy, just more scandalous. It reminds me of yogurt candies with fruits, like the old Yogueta ones, but with an artificial touch.

  • I tried it in summer and it smells like very ripe, overwhelming strawberry that doesn’t last long. But in winter, it smells milky, slightly of coconut and apple, though the sillage and longevity remain low.

  • Very delicious, smells like Billiken yogurt candies. Unfortunately, the longevity is minimal on my skin.

  • Smells like strawberry yogurt and coconut with a sweet touch. I enjoy it, it puts me in a good mood, and reminds me of summer enjoying rich cocktails by the beach.

  • Persefonex

I bought it while depressed and stressed, looking for vanilla to help me relax. They suggested Meaw, but I didn’t like it, so I tried Mad Love thinking it was by Ariana Grande. The strawberry opening reminded me of Thank You Next and made me feel good, like a roller coaster with teenagers and red lollipops. Even though it didn’t suit me at 47, I needed that happiness. Over time, the coconut with sandalwood relaxes you too much; it’s the most comforting thing out there, nothing as cloying as Victoria’s Secret, but rather the Prada Candy coconut vibe, and this one lasts great at the end.

  • Sweet with a rich coconut note, not cloying. I’m an oversprayer and at first I detect a strong synthetic note that lasts only seconds, then it becomes pleasant and non-invasive. It lasts about 6 hours and I’ve received tons of compliments; people hug me and say I smell good.

  • Yasmin2015

Very delicious, gourmand, casual, and youthful; sure to please anyone. I really like it, though to be honest, it’s not the most original scent in the world.

  • Super delicious, evokes memories of beach vacations sipping Brazilian creamy coconut lemonade—refreshing and tasty. The longevity is weak, but given the low cost, it doesn’t matter; I reapply every 3 hours and I’m good.

  • Smells like creamy strawberry coconut yogurt—super lactonic and sweet without being cloying. Casual, not elegant, but lasts 6-8 hours and for the price, it’s a steal. I use it for sleep and it helps me relax; pleasantly surprised and I’d buy it again. Note: don’t buy it at department stores, the price is ridiculous compared to online.

  • MundoAroma

My favorite by Katy Perry. It has an excellent trail and good longevity. Value for money is 50/10. While the strawberry note is synthetic, combined with the coconut it makes a very sweet combination. I see it more for a younger audience.

  • Isaesparza

Super milky, super gourmand, delicious… I love it. To me, it reminds me of a piña colada with a hint of strawberry syrup. It’s very sweet, so if you don’t like sweet perfumes, stay away, because it is extremely sweet. It reminds me a bit of Cloud by Ariana Grande; they aren’t exactly the same but follow the same line, though this one is undoubtedly twice as sweet. Beauty for gourmand lovers.

  • Sweet, nothing more. In fact, very sweet and nothing else. It doesn’t resemble the perfumes suggested by Fragrantica, but it does fit the category of sweets that are almost too much.

  • Minina bonita

It starts smelling like creamy strawberries, I guess the creamy touch comes from the coconut. Then it shifts to feel more floral, at least on me. It’s very pleasant and sweet, great for boosting your mood. I loved it!

  • WitchyMuffin

I love this perfume; it’s very sweet, milky, and gourmand. What predominates is the coconut. Honestly, it doesn’t have a great trail, but if you like something super sweet, you won’t get tired of smelling it all day, plus it has an ridiculously low price.

  • Lecherrysodaa

I don’t get a dominant coconut note, which was what I was looking for. That said, I really liked it, though I’m surprised that on my skin it smells exactly like Ariana Grande’s Thank You Next. Blindly, I couldn’t tell them apart; it smells sweet and clean. I feel the Ariana one has a better trail. I liked it, but I prefer Alien Goddess for a beachy coconut scent.

  • A very lovely and quite sweet fragrance without being cloying. It feels like a sweet powder makeup scent with coconut and strawberry notes. It lasts 5 or 6 hours on skin but days on clothes. The trail is moderate at first and then softens, but it’s always noticeable with every movement. A tender, feminine aroma perfect for spring.

  • valentinantobtncr

Very delicious; it feels like a Yara but the fruity notes are much more prominent. Perfect for summer!

  • Mmm, I waited a long time for this little perfume. I love the bottle, but the scent feels a bit childish to me: strawberry and coconut, somewhat artificial. It doesn’t last or project well, so I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • It’s a really pretty perfume with creamy vanilla notes, but the coconut really stands out. The downside is it doesn’t last long.
