Created by perfumer David-Lev Jipa-Slivinschi and launched in 2024, this scent opens with top notes of leather, sea water, blackberries, grapefruit, and saffron. The heart features wool, Heracleum powder, costus, elemi resin, copal, cannabis, and periwinkle. The base reveals an aquatic accord with ambergris, oud wood, red cedar, driftwood, lichen, moss, palo santo, and floral notes.

Animalic scent, grey amber? But very soft, nothing like Silent the Sea. It’s not marine skin or leather, but something dark and damp. As it dries, it gets strong on sea and algae, reminiscent of Tom Ford’s Oud Minerale. Reminded me of Katana Parfums’ Cuir Vicuna: equally elegant and dark, but this is leathery-aquatic, whereas Katana’s is leathery-citrus. It’s the limited edition, so some ingredients will change later.
De Salida is a earthy grey amber similar to Initio’s Magnetic Blend 1, with a damp, slightly ozonic vibe—no sparkle or standout notes. As it dries, leather and a strong woody oud emerge, creating a blend that’s hard to enjoy. It might work as an olfactory experiment, but a bad one. Nothing to highlight; it smells more like a chemistry lab test than something worth adding to a collection. Rating: 2/10
