I’ve tried it several times now and have to say I absolutely love it, completely changing my previous opinion. Aramis surprises again with distinct proposals, and this is no exception. The dominant notes are ginger and black pepper, plus chamomile! I’m sure it has it because it sometimes reminds me of chamomile infusions. In the base, I detect sandalwood or some soft wood. I’m extremely glad it moves away from those vague, sweet, characterless fresh scents of today. It certainly pays homage to its mother fragrance, with a certain retro yet modernized vibe. It’s not a beast in terms of projection or longevity, nor is it as shy as other fresher, much more expensive perfumes. On my skin (which doesn’t hold fragrances well), it lasts about seven hours, projecting for about three, which is excellent for a fresh scent. I think it will be hard to find soon, but if you spot it at a good price, it’s definitely worth it.

Brand new for me. The pepper and ginger are very noticeable, and there’s a very natural vetiver in the base. A touch of lavender, but very light. In the heart, I sense something fruity, a bit of mango, though I’m not entirely sure. There’s also a leather note throughout the development, but it’s a very light leather, so it’s very wearable in the heat without being overpowering. The longevity is short for an Aramis fragrance; it projected for about an hour and a half and lasted about five hours close to the skin. Another good Aramis perfume, though this time it’s not as spectacular as we’re used to from this house. Final rating: 8.5. I got it for $18, so if you pick it up on sale, I think it’s worth it.
