Flora Bella by Lalique is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2005, this composition was created by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. Upon release, the fragrance unfolds a floral harmony featuring lilac, mimosa, frangipani, freesia, tiare flower, neroli, orchid, cassia, and carnation. The heart of the olfactory pyramid maintains this lush floral character, while the base settles on spices, vanilla, white musk, and amber.

I’m a huge Lalique fan and was obsessed with finding this; it had been out of stock for years. Thanks to the secondary market, I got it sealed. What a beauty! Very similar to the discontinued Estée Lauder Beyond Paradise: exotic white flowers, vanilla, and soft woods. A clean, feminine scent evoking distant paradises—that tropical concept from 20 years ago, nothing like today’s overly sweet and fruity stuff. Originally it had a blue juice, but over time the vanilla oxidation turns it to a bourbon color; it’s in perfect condition with the scent intact. It’s soft, elegant, and delicate, right in the line of Guerlain’s Insolence. Perfect for heat and autumn. Since it hasn’t been reformulated, its longevity and performance are impressive. I wish modern perfumery would bring back gems like this.
Snatched it up as a tester and it’s already a total love: a gorgeous vanilla that sweetens out that floral bouquet. The musk and amber tie it all together, making it addictive on my skin. So sad this is the last one, as it’s been out of production for years.
