As the name indicates, it’s pure, hard-core oud. The oud note dominates so much that it covers the rest, yet it doesn’t get heavy. I see it as ideal for any season except summer. At night, with its moderate projection, it goes unnoticed, though it smells great up close. It’s very masculine, elegant, and sophisticated, but with character. In my opinion, it kicks Tom Ford’s Oud Wood’s ass. The longevity is decent, but after 2-3 hours, it’s barely noticeable beyond 1.5 meters; up close, it still stands out. The bad: your nose gets used to it quickly, and there are few notes to highlight, which is a pity because it’s a complex perfume that’s a joy to try. The good: it’s very different and clearly not the typical department store or El Corte Inglés oud. It’s easy to wear, and if you’re looking for something dark and elegant for your daily life, you’re in luck.

With less prominent oud and more spice, it’s an elegant, easy-to-wear, and well-balanced fragrance.
Exploud by Laboratorio Olfattivo is an oud that behaves well, though it stays quite timid on the skin. It smells like spiced wood with an oily, creamy touch, nothing more. It’s not a scent that takes your breath away, despite its curious twist. I think it’s worth trying other things from the brand. Rating: 5/10
