Evoking Eidesis by Aesop is a woody-spicy fragrance for women and men. It launched in 2026 as a new addition from the house.
The structure is straightforward: petitgrain, black pepper and olibanum incense up top, cumin, cedar and incense at the center, and sandalwood, cedar and vetiver underneath.
The opening pairs bitter-green petitgrain with the dry snap of black pepper. Olibanum incense comes through right away, resinous and restrained with a light smoky edge.
At the center, cumin adds a warm, skin-like spiciness that stays smooth rather than sharp. Cedar dries it out and keeps it tidy, while incense carries forward the reflective mood of the start.
The base settles into creamy sandalwood, dry cedar and earthy vetiver. It is a clean, grounded woody foundation with no added sweetness.
Overall it reads woody, fresh-spicy and aromatic, turning warm-spicy, amber-like and powdery as it wears. The presence is close and calm, very much in keeping with Aesop’s botanical, minimalist style.
