A really nice perfume, the most realistic mandarin, it’s what Afternoon Swim by LV can’t be (because that one doesn’t last at all), citrusy, a bit sweet, quite long-lasting for the type of perfume it is, they list it as gourmand but it doesn’t reach that, pretty good Francis in what he achieved, a perfume for daily wear or signature scent, longevity 8 hours well given, sillage about 3 hours and people notice it, I see it as more masculine honestly, but a woman can wear it too, 10/10.
6:40 p.m. and I’m at Dior, attended by the great Elías. He was telling me the story of this perfume and, with every passing second, it was harder to contain the urge to smell Paradise. Finally, he applied it on me and, in the opening, I perceived a very vibrant and present citrus perfume, but nothing invasive; rather, energizing, like when you cut a fresh citrus fruit. All of that rested on delicate woods and a soft, diffuse creaminess that I couldn’t identify at first. A few minutes went by and, at 6:45 p.m., Elías began to reveal the notes of the perfume. At that moment, my brain connected with a slightly syrupy facet: it was like very diluted syrup, intertwined with hazelnut or almond notes. It wasn’t sweet or dense; on the contrary, it felt quite light. For me, it doesn’t enter the gourmand territory. That facet lasted very little, while the citrus remained present, though no longer with the vibrant intensity of the opening. At 7:30 p.m., the habatonka began to appear, very subtly. The citrus continued to be there, but again softened, without the initial effervescent brightness, now accompanied by a delicate and elegant woody base. At 8:02 p.m., more than an hour and twenty minutes later, I perceived a slightly powdery and creamy almond at the same time, without too much sweetness. The citrus was still present, but no longer conveying the vibrant sensation of the opening, the one that reminds you of the moment you cut an orange or a lemon. Rather, they evoke the memory of citrus once its brightness has faded. All of it melts over a soft, creamy, and refined base, leaving a serene and enveloping sillage.
