A Mark Birley leather scent that opens with a very promising raspberry fruity note, paying homage to the legendary Knize Ten but coming across as less sweet and incisive. It diverges from that classic as soon as the spices and coffee kick in, dominating the heart and drydown. The florals stay in the background while the dried leather, woody, and mossy base—with a drier, balsamic, and less sweet profile—takes over the drydown without any rules. It’s complex due to the sheer number of notes and very well blended, plus versatile for any season and charming, but I find it a bit pale and lacking the character to be a great leather. Rating: 6.5
