Smells good, but it’s not one of the best. Another downside: it doesn’t last long; it’s more for personal enjoyment.
Overall, Lacoste’s men’s fragrances are exquisite but very weak on longevity, perhaps because it’s a sport line. Enjoyment is personal; it’s not for turning heads or dinner dates. I separate Lacoste Le Blanc and Pour Homme as the most durable, ideal for late-night conquests and seduction.
One of my favorites, it stays in the bottle a long time, and I only use it when it’s truly worth it.
One of my favorites, but it stays in the bottle way too much. I only use it when it’s truly worth it.
Another letdown from Lacoste. The citrus opening is fine, but the dry-down is an eternity, bland, and synthetic. There’s nothing else to say, I just don’t feel like it. The performance is laughable.
Smells clean and fresh; that citrus blend with a teakwood note gives it an authentic, non-synthetic vibe. I love it, giving it an 8.5 out of 10.
It’s a citrus scent (especially at first), fresh and not very sweet (throughout the entire wear), and particularly, it smells very little like soap. It doesn’t stand out much; although it has originality, it doesn’t feel attractive or captivating, but most people like it. In other words, it’s agreeable but could go unnoticed, so I don’t recommend buying it blindly unless you absolutely love fresh aromas. Overall, it’s versatile, but I prefer it for daytime, even for workouts, and it works well in informal situations. It doesn’t target a specific age range; it looks good on both young people and adults. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the best longevity or projection, although the price isn’t high, though it could be cheaper given its moderate longevity and sillage. Versatility = 8. Longevity = 7. Projection = 7. Price = 8. Overall Rating = 7.5.
Lacoste Challenge is citrusy and woody. The opening is fresh with somewhat unnatural citrus (I assume almost all are, but in some they’re less noticeable), yet still pleasant. This phase lasts about 2 hours without changes, then moves to the dry-down, becoming more woody and aromatic; the citrus fades but it remains fresh. Suitable for warm days, spring, and summer. Great for casual activities; I think it’s quite youthful, perfect for hanging out with friends, going to the movies, or being outdoors. I recommend it for anyone looking for something simple and unpretentious, just to feel fresh. Longevity reached about 8 hours, though projection is skin-scent only.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED: Challenge is a fragrance I released in 2012. The opening is citrusy and lively with a marked lemon note (though it feels synthetic) and fresh, with almost no sweetness, more like intense citrus. Within seconds, lavender emerges mixed with ginger and violet leaves, which I personally don’t fully enjoy because the lemon and bergamot are still noticeable, making the cocktail hard to assimilate, especially when the woods kick in. Despite being citrusy, as it dries down and clings to the skin, it feels alkaline and intense, which I didn’t like; it almost seems to have an amber note; personally, I didn’t enjoy that blend. It feels like they lack a defined character and are hard to wear. I also didn’t like the residue it left on clothes, like a lingering fragrance that smells bad days later, as if it dried in the sun. Definitely not one of the best Lacoste scents (happy with Essential, Red, or the original). Supposedly sporty, but it doesn’t seem pleasant for working out despite the strong citrus. Best used during the day in hot climates, from casual to office wear, and I think it suits ages 18 to 30. The fixative isn’t the best; it holds better on clothes than skin. Recommended sprays: 4 to 6. Fixative rating: 7.5. Sillage: Medium. Intensity: Medium.
I accepted the Challenge in 2012: a bright, citrusy opening with a very prominent lemon note (a bit synthetic) and fresh, almost no sweetness, more acidic and intense. Within seconds, lavender emerges mixed with ginger and violet leaves, which I don’t fully enjoy, since the lemon and bergamot still dominate, making the cocktail hard to digest, especially as the woody notes kick in. As it dries down and settles on the skin, it becomes intensely alkaline, almost with an amber touch, and that blend of scents just didn’t work for me; I feel it lacks a defined character and is tough to wear. For me, I also didn’t like the trail on clothes, which smelled like an old fragrance, like a sun-dried detergent you notice days later. Definitely not one of Lacoste’s best (I’m happy with Essential, Red, or the original); it’s supposed to be sporty, but it doesn’t seem pleasant for working out despite the strong citrus. Better suited for daytime in hot climates, from casual to office wear, and I think it will appeal to young people aged 18 to 30. The longevity isn’t great; it lasts better on clothes than skin. Spray rating: 4 to 6. Longevity: 7.5. Sillage: Medium. Intensity: Medium.
One of my favorite scents; it’s exquisite but has flaws. Projection and longevity are short; it could be one of the best citrus fragrances, but it fails on projection. Recommended for hot days, enclosed spaces, or gatherings.
One of my favorite scents; it’s exquisite but has flaws… Projection and longevity are short. It could be one of the best citrus fragrances due to its smell, but it fails on projection. Recommended for hot days, enclosed spaces, or meetings.
I love how it blends citrus and woods. Opens very citrusy, then becomes sweeter after an hour. Smells very masculine, a bit sporty, I think it suits people under 30. Unfortunately, the longevity is okay, but the sillage is very weak; after an hour, it’s practically skin scent. Still, a very good fragrance.
I really like how it blends citrus and woody tones; it smells much more citrusy at first, then becomes quite sweet an hour later. It smells truly very masculine, a bit sporty, and would fit someone under thirty. Unfortunately, the longevity is relatively okay, but the trail is very weak; an hour later it’s almost skin-scent only. Still, a very good fragrance.
Fresh scent, ideal for post-shower or heading to the gym, great for daily use. The downside: longevity. It projects for about 2 hours, maybe 30 minutes with luck. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Just finished a bottle and I would definitely buy it again. It has a sexy powdery aroma, the kind that revives you on a exhausting hot day. Maybe it doesn’t last the best, but if you reapply and give several sprays to your clothes and neck, you’ll surely steal some sighs. Many people asked me what I was wearing, especially in summer where it shows its splendor.
I just finished the bottle and would definitely buy it again. It has a musky, sexy aroma, one of those that revives you on hot days. Maybe it doesn’t last as long, but if you reapply and spray it on your clothes and neck, you’ll surely get some whistles. Many people asked me what I was wearing, especially in summer where it really shines.
The scent is nice, I liked it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long and is a bit subtle. Since it’s not very expensive, you can reapply it several times throughout the day.
Citrusy and woody, one of my favorites that brings back so many memories. Starts bright and citrusy, then dries down to a sweet scent without losing its acidic edge. Unisex and everyone loves it. Projection is medium-low, about an hour and a half, then close to the skin for another 4 hours. As an EDT, it doesn’t last 6 hours like most. I always loved it, wore it all day and even at night. It’s no longer available in Argentina, and I never managed to restock it. It was very affordable (I bought it with my part-time paycheck), so the price-to-quality ratio isn’t bad.
Citrusy and woody, one of the ones I loved most and that brings me memories overflowing. Citrus opening, then as it dries it becomes sweet without losing the citrus touch. Masculine, liked by men and women. Projection is medium, leaning weak, lasts about an hour, then close to the skin for maybe 4 hours. To be an EDT, it doesn’t reach 6 hours like most. I love this fragrance; I used it all the time, partly because I didn’t have much money and only had a couple of perfumes. Mainly for the day, but also at night and it was appreciated. At least in Argentina it’s not available; I never could restock it. I remember it was very accessible (I bought it with my part-time paycheck), so the cost/performance ratio doesn’t look that bad.
One of the first I tried: super citrus opening, fresh base with uncomplicated woods. Perfect for the office or everyday wear. 100% recommended. It’s that kind of perfume you don’t even notice, but it saves your day. Awesome 💜
