I was looking for the men’s Parfum version at an outlet store here in Germany, but they didn’t have it; however, they did have this women’s version, the last 30 ml bottle left untested. I saw the notes and online reviews and didn’t hesitate to buy it, since it’s hard to find at a good price now that it’s discontinued. I tried it in cool weather and it’s absolute beast mode, lasting easily 10 hours. It’s a very elegant leather, like a fine blazer, with creamy wood undertones and a hint of sweetness, probably from the tonka bean. Very unisex—it doesn’t lean too feminine or masculine, looking great on both. An absolute work of art!
My goodness, what an incredible leather scent—so beautiful and perfect. On top of that, it’s already a quest to find it since they even delisted the Eau de Parfum. The Parfum from Bottega Veneta has a spectacular sweetness without being cloying; there’s less oakmoss and more tonka with an exquisite sandalwood. Is it the most elegant leather? It might be, but I won’t confirm it because they’ve delisted all the Bottega Veneta fragrances that were worth having.
