  The opening is oily and ink-like, reminiscent of Boudicca Wode’s leather flaps, making me doubt if this is truly a green chypre. Later, the blend evolves into a scent of mate cake, caraway, and conifers, becoming greener but with a spicy leather touch. I didn’t detect much pure ivy; instead, it was wrapped in caraway, juniper, and mate—check the pyramid: tobacco flower and green pepper. The heart mixes coastal air, slightly briny, without that fresh egg smell that sometimes comes from the spicy opening. What’s curious is the absence of that typical sweet and spicy immortelle found in other ivy blends. Here, lacking dusty or sweet immortelle notes, the ivy sounds a bit metallic, which is unusual for a chypre. But this metallic tone fades quickly, and in the heart, under the assault of the sea and green notes, it flows into a fresh pink clover scent, with soft angelica and guaiac in a haze of grass. Some dirty notes, like earth or clay, chase the entire development, but they don’t depress; instead, they add naturalness. Probably the galbanum and moss get lost in that common green theme of angelica and caraway. There’s no smoky incense typical of Durga perfumes; it leans more toward Silent Grove, with a sweet and warm heart of early spring flowers and fresh water. That disappointed me a bit, because its aquatic green pyramid promised burning spices, ozone, and floral musks, making me question its suitability due to that exaggerated seriousness.
