It’s a super cozy fragrance, I’d define it as unisex. To make it last longer, the best idea is to use the body oil as a base; it works better than the cream from the same line.
It’s like the male version of this brand’s Iris: same sweetness, but the powdery notes are replaced by a sweet amber that gives it a more masculine touch. It’s very intense; once you put it on, you can’t escape it; just a few applications are enough. It smells amazing and is the perfect scent for autumn.
It’s delicious. It opens powdery and then turns amber; on clothes, it’s super cozy. I also bought Ambre de Reminiscence, but I prefer Ambre Liquide for that vintage powdery touch that gets me so many compliments, whereas the other one feels synthetic, heavy, and linear. It has niche-level depth and quality, perhaps due to the styrax; it reminds me of old perfumes (floral, like Guerlain). Warm, balsamic, cozy, and addictive. Incredible value for money. If you layer it with a floral, it’s madness. I’ve tried many niche scents and always come back to this one.
I’m totally hooked on this fragrance and the entire body line. It’s a softened, woody, amber, and powdery vanilla, but nothing like feminine makeup; on my skin and nose, it feels completely different. It’s super enveloping and ‘loving.’ One of the few that lasts for hours and hours. An Italian seller thought it was very powdery, but on me it evolves into something balsamic. It’s already one of my top 5 favorites for a deserted island trip. The price is ridiculous and makes you wonder why high perfumery doesn’t lower prices if they double the quality (though we all know the answer).
I agree 100% with those who have already tried it. Ambre Liquide is a fascinating potion: amber with powdery touches, vanilla notes, and citrus hints that, as it dries down, become warm and balsamic thanks to the benzoin. I see it as unisex, sweet and potent without being overwhelming (in moderate climates). It has a vintage vibe that works beautifully. Lasts about 7-8 hours on the skin, and the quality-to-price ratio is insane. This house keeps surprising me.
