Ice
Sorry if this sounds weird, but this perfume is like walking into a luxury Middle Eastern boutique: a sophisticated, enveloping scent that suddenly floods with a herd of goats. The staff takes 30 minutes to shoo them away, leaving behind a trail that lingers slowly but gets etched in your memory. Longevity is top-notch, with a moderate and soft sillage.
Ice
Sorry if I offend, but… this perfume, how should I say it? Imagine a luxurious fabric store in the Middle East, perfumed with something sophisticated. Suddenly, a herd of goats floods the place with their characteristic smell. The staff shooes them away after 30 eternal minutes. What remains is the sophisticated scent with a faint goat note that fades slowly, but you’ll always remember that touch. Longevity is excellent with a moderate to soft sillage.
Coquita
The opening of this Alaïa, very woody and musky, seemed ideal for a skin scent. The best part was waiting to see the dry-down before spending the 70€ on the bottle. It complements my skin at the start, but once it dries, it picks up a synthetic note, like 80s nail polish, which doesn’t fully convince me even though I keep smelling my wrist. When dry, it’s less sharp, velvety, and more tonka, which softens the musk. It lasted until the next day, projecting for 4-5 hours. It felt like JHAG’s Sunny Side Up but with better projection, or Katy Perry’s Indi but less sweet. Since I’ve already tried the others, buying this seems unnecessary. If you’re looking for a skin scent, it’s worth it. Ideal for daytime in cold or mild weather. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 8/10 Versatile: 8/10 Original: 6/10

I admit that if a perfume doesn’t like me within 10 minutes, I discard it. I have to like it from the opening. With Alaïa Nude, the exception occurred. The opening is sharp and annoying, way too much for a Nude. But wow, then it becomes soft and creamy. It’s a subtle whisper on the skin but present. It’s enveloping, warm, and incredibly elegant. I see it as perfect for everyday wear; despite being discreet and blending into the skin, it has a special touch. I loved it… Pity the high price and that it’s getting harder to find.

I have to confess: if I don’t like a perfume within 10 minutes of applying it, I toss it. It has to work from the start or I won’t wear it. But with Alaïa Nude, the opposite happened. The opening was sharp and annoying, way too much for something called ‘Nude.’ But then it changed; it became soft and creamy. It’s a whisper on the skin, present and perceptible. It’s enveloping, warm, and incredibly elegant. I see it as perfect for everyday wear; despite being discreet and blending in, it has a special touch that makes it distinctive. I loved it… Pity the high price and that it’s getting harder to find.

Something weird happened with Alaïa: I tested Paris at a perfumerie and was floored. The scent was so strange it hooked me, so I bought it without hesitation, even though I doubted wearing it out. I tested it at home and… words fail me. It has a rare depth and mystery in perfumes. Over time, I got Blanche and now Nude, which has me mesmerized. I detect a slight caramel note from the tonka bean, along with cedar and leather. I’ll wait to see its performance, but if it’s like the others, it’s great. Wonderful house, Alaïa.

Something curious happened with this brand: I tested Alaïa Paris at a perfumerie and was baffled and impressed. I wasn’t sure if I liked it, but the scent was so strange it hooked me. I didn’t hesitate to buy it to keep exploring, even though I wasn’t sure about wearing it out. But putting it on at home… words fail me. Depth and mystery, things I rarely find and that go beyond just smelling good. It was only a matter of time before I got Blanche and now Nude, which now has me mesmerized. I detect a slight caramel note, probably from the tonka bean, along with cedar and leather, which I perceive most. I’ll comment on its performance later, but if it’s as good as the other two… 🙂 Wonderful house, Alaïa.
