If you don’t want to spend a fortune, try the 761 by Esenzzia; it’s 95% identical to the original. For me, it’s a total discovery: if you’re looking for an all-day scent that smells like nothing else on the market, this is your pick. The curious thing is that despite being potent, the herbal side makes it versatile, though in heat you need to be careful with where you wear it. Not everyone will like it; it requires character. For me, it’s addictive—I can’t stop smelling it on my skin.

If you like aromas like PK’s Red Leather, Zoologist’s Rhinoceros (original formula), and mainly herbal perfumes, you need to smell it.

The opening is a bit fresher due to sage and basil, but nothing summery; rather tame compared to what follows. From the first sniff, there’s leather, but folded by basil and sage, with a slight balsamic reflection of resins. Gradually, the leather feels more intense, accompanied by oud and incense, making the aroma extremely balsamic, smoky, medicinal, and very spicy, giving a sensation of rustic, old leather, but of very high quality. It could literally be the smell of leather sacks used to carry spices on camels. The scent evolves, but that spicy sensation doesn’t fade, becoming warmer, resinous, toasted, and incense-like, where the leather remains the protagonist alongside a slight animal touch that rounds out a beautiful leather. Fortunately for those who love these aromas, the performance is excellent, easily surpassing 10 hours on my skin, with great sillage throughout almost the entire development. A nighttime perfume for cold or cool climates. Intense and not for everyone, but if you like these aromas, you have to try it. Although the price is high, it’s not as outrageous as other niches I’ve tried, and in comparison, I think it’s worth every penny.

Then the sage takes center stage, adding a very marked herbal note to the resins and leather, making it dense, balsamic, and with slightly medicinal facets (at this stage it smells odd, nothing unpleasant but not pretty either). In the mid-to-final phase, the incense adds smoky, toasted nuances over the leather, oud, and an animalic musk that feels original. Quality is mid-to-high, but there’s too much synthetic; longevity and sillage are good. It smells 80s but updated.
