Vintage perfumes are unbeatable in quality, density, and composition. Perfection has a name: Antelope. A floral, green, and spicy blend, resinous with a delicious leather note. Perfumes like this no longer exist. It’s a precious leather chypre, rounded out with classic aldehydes. I can picture the atmosphere of 80s and 90s nightclubs: humidity, glasses with leftover alcohol, extinguished cigarettes, old wood, and worn leather sofas mixed with various scents. Places of transgression and secrets where restrained lives change in the dark. She, around forty, showers in Antelope before stepping into that dim club with her friends. The music makes her vibrate, sensual and dizzy. A few drinks, time to loosen up and look with desire. She spots her prey, a kid by comparison, much younger. Kissing him with passion, she drags him to the tiled bathrooms, not caring who’s around, slams him against the wall, and wild casual sex ensues. Tomorrow, no one will remember anything, just a mossy, powdery halo… I’m in love again and again with these wonderful old creations.
