The first Ensar Ouds I tried were Jamaican Ambergris Purple Sultani and Oud Man. I was sure the first would be my favorite, but Oud Man won the game, to the point that I had to find a way to bring it to my country. It’s an oud perfume that doesn’t stink, just woody, with spices, but it stands out for what the bottle’s painting refers to: the sea. This is interpreted with navy blue notes, it’s fresh, with a blue mint sensation, whose contrast creates a very pleasant experience. It happened that around the same time I tried L’Oud Marin by Maksim and, although different, the marine oud profile stands out, becoming one of my favorites. You have no problem with projection or longevity. It’s definitely one of my favorites in my collection. Literally, it smells like dock wood at night.
