  1. Smells good, correct, and well-balanced. It has that cotton candy or caramelized apple touch, but in doses that aren’t overwhelming. No harsh imbalance like cheap Arab perfumes. Projection and longevity are average, but it’s super wearable, even for the office.

  2. What a gorgeous and very wearable version. If you like that DNA, it’s an accessible option that never misses.

  3. Baroque Rouge Extrait is for those seeking something woody, strong, and characterful. It opens intriguingly with saffron and an almond sweetness. The dry down blends woods, jasmine, ambergris, and musk—very warm and long-lasting. Perfect for fall, winter, and night outs. It projects strongly, ideal for grabbing attention and projecting confidence.

Upon spraying, pure alcohol followed by an acetone scent. After a minute, there’s a strange metallic ash note. You have to wait 4-5 minutes for that faint Bacarat touch to appear, but it’s very weak, only noticeable when sniffing directly. For the price, you can’t ask for more, but calling it super sweet is a lie. It’s weak; maybe it’s not the best Sup of Bacarat Rouge Elixir.

It’s a fruity, youthful take on BR540. Less sugary than other clones and without that medicinal touch many dislike. At first, it smells like freshly cut watermelon—fresh and sparkling—then it reveals that DNA of woods and saffron. I like it, but it’s not one of my favorites.

  6. It smells like burnt sugar to me. I really like this dupe, but the longevity fails: on me, it doesn’t last past two hours and sits right on the skin. If you don’t mind reapplying, it’s a good option because the scent is rich.
