I absolutely love this perfume; it’s saved me thousands of pesos and brightened my cold days. It smells delicious from the first spray all the way to drydown, though the scent is simple without much evolution or complexity. It smells like maraschino cherries with amaretto, an almost edible aroma that some might mistake for medicinal syrup, but honestly, it’s not that sweet. That hint of liquor gives the cherry a slight bitterness, and that’s where the magic happens, transforming from liquid cherries to powdery cherry talc before settling into a dry, powdery rose. Considering the price and the fact that I even use it for sleeping, it’s without a doubt the best dupe for Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry, which was my winter favorite until Fine’ry launched this excellent carbon-copy version in 2023. Usually, I’m not one to recycle or use dupes, but my last bottle of Lost Cherry had lost its projection and sillage, and I’d even dare to say Not Another Cherry lasts longer on my clothes. The secret is to give it time to oxidize or macerate so the delicious notes settle and fix better; for the price, the wait is worth it. I recommend buying it, spraying it into the air, and letting it sit in a dark, cool place for two or three months—you’ll thank me later. Once it’s settled, the opening is practically identical; the only difference is that this dries with a powdery rose base while Lost Cherry dries with sweet wood. They last almost the same on clothes (I almost never spray it on skin). As I said, I won’t buy another bottle of Lost Cherry, which is way more expensive and has become ridiculously mainstream over the years; I’m much better off sticking with this creation by Fine’ry.
