Didn’t work for me. I dabbed it on my finger and it felt rough. It’s a keeper for the closet, and to its credit, it lasts long and projects well. Bottom line: it’s all about personal taste.
I was looking for something different from Aqua di Parma’s Fig di Amalfi, but this has nothing to do with it. It reminds me more of fig jam than anything green. It’s sweet, very intense, and pretty, but I don’t think it suits me.
I tried it at the counter and plan to buy it soon. It’s very similar to Hermès Jardin en Méditerranée. For us Argentines struggling with the dollar and elitist policies, this is an affordable alternative. Hermès is more complex, with a sour opening and woods that give it depth, but this Solinote doesn’t fall short in delicacy and beauty.
